My attempt to create something in Photoshop without actually drawing on paper with a pencil turned out pretty good. I also used a mouse so that made it a bit more challenging. I'm a purest though. I still love to draw to much to actually ever do this all the time.

BIRDMEN REDUX

I've decide to to see what happens when I take some of my drawings from my childhood and update them. This one inspired by the late great Jack Kirby was used for a story I wrote in sixth or seventh grade back in the seventies. I'm not sure what I was thinking when it came to the color scheme.

Playing around with water color in my sketch book. I may use these characters for something someday or sell them to the highest bidder.

Tea Party

I original set out to create a Tea Party cartoon and then decided that I really wasn't in the mood to keep picking on people. Despite the fact that the movement bothers me I felt like I was starting to fall into a downward spiral of pettiness so once I started working on this I thought I'd see if I could come up with a picture that might fit a childrens book. Although the color of the table cloth bugs me a bit I thought I'd post it and see what kind of feed back I could get.

Fly Over

I haven't been able to break in to the world of illustrating childrens books yet and hopefully work like this and several other pieces I'm working on will catch someones eye and the floodgates will open.
