The Winter That Never Was

Despite the fact that Winter decided to avoid Central New York this year which you won't hear me complaining about I chose to paint what it may have looked like. That and I really like blue.

Blue Too

Despite this being one of the worst winters I can recall some good has come from it. I've completed about twenty water color paintings and have about a dozen more in various stages of completion.

Winter Sketches form a Shut In.

Being snowed in can start to make a person go a little stir crazy. Fortunately I seem to do some of my best work when I'm just a little bit off. Over the last two weeks as the snow has grown deeper and my mood a bit darker I've some how managed to come up with all kinds of ideas. Here are three recent pages from my sketch book. Done in ink and then enhanced with a little water color.

Snow Bound Artboy

A quick little painting from sketchbook also inspired by the recent snowfall.

Snomageddon 2010

Inspired by the recent snowfall. We received about 40 inches give or take in a 96 hour period. This is my newest profile picture for Facebook. I try to change it depending on the season, special event and mood. I'm not a big fan of putting real pictures on the web so with small exception I  will continue to have a toon representing me.

Tea Party

I original set out to create a Tea Party cartoon and then decided that I really wasn't in the mood to keep picking on people. Despite the fact that the movement bothers me I felt like I was starting to fall into a downward spiral of pettiness so once I started working on this I thought I'd see if I could come up with a picture that might fit a childrens book. Although the color of the table cloth bugs me a bit I thought I'd post it and see what kind of feed back I could get.
